The 2025 World Vocational College Skills Competition Finals in the Textile and Apparel track (secondary vocational division) recently concluded in Luzhou, Sichuan province. Chen Ruihan, Liu Fangting, and Shi Qingwen from Jiangsu Jintan Secondary Specialized School stood out among the competitors and were awarded the gold medal.
Themed "Skills Shine in Youth, Abilities Create the Future," the competition brought together more than 700 participants from 61 teams representing 25 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities across China. The event aimed to provide a high-quality platform for vocational students to demonstrate their technical abilities, exchange experience, and support the high-quality development of vocational education, thereby helping more skilled talent gain recognition on the global stage.
To prepare the contestants, Jintan Secondary Specialized School established a comprehensive support system described as "expert team + dedicated resources." The training regimen included an average of eight hours of specialized daily practice to tackle technical challenges one by one. The school also invested special funds to upgrade its textile and apparel training center. Furthermore, it actively collaborated with leading local garment enterprises to ensure the training content was closely aligned with both industry needs and competition standards. This created a seamless pathway for the students connecting the "competition venue — classroom — enterprise."
